We're in the business of getting good ideas -- ideas you can use in your business -- out to SAF members. And we have plenty of vehicles to do this: Floral Management magazine, Wednesday E-Brief, Week in Review, Dateline, Floral Trend Tracker. Despite the tens of thousands of words we publish a month, we still have more ideas to share that don't make it into one of our existing publications. And, as much as we'd like to believe that every single SAF member reads every single one of our publications each time it's published. And not every SAF staff member gets to publish the great ideas they have.

You can see where this is headed: We decided that we need a blog (a second blog: if you like to stay on top of Capitol Hill updates, subscribe to SAF's Capitol Letters). This blog will be dedicated to making a "fresh delivery" of business, marketing, advertising, people management ideas and trends ideas out there, along with the latest floral industry news and statistics. You'll hear from some of the usual suspects on our editorial team, but you'll also hear from Lisa and Bonnie in our member services department, who might have just hung up the phone with an SAF member who happened to mention a great idea . . . or Jenny Scala in our marketing department, after she makes a breakthrough with a company that has been maligning flowers.

And we hope this blog becomes a two-way diary: We share an idea, you launch another one back to us, via the comments. Thanks for reading . . .
